Like many people, I have a love-hate relationship with Harbor Freight. There are some things that I think can’t be beat, other things that are just junk, and a lot of things are somewhere in the middle.
In general, the simpler the tool, the more happy I’ve been. HF aluminum bar clamps fit into that category.
I’ve had four of these 24″ ones for a number of years, and they work great. Both the screw end and the adjustable end do what they are supposed to every time. I can apply quite a bit of clamping pressure with these.
I think I spent about $7 each when they were on sale. Similar ones elsewhere cost at least $20. I’m planning on buying four of the 36″ ones on my next trip there.
